New Horizons
New Horizons Youth Ranch has been helping troubled youth change their lives to become happy, self confident, successful individuals since 1999.We accomplish this through a Christian-based program that includes Christ-centered teaching, trust building, one-on-one relationship building and individual care. We mentor principles, values and activities that have proven to build strong minds and bodies which leads to making good choices and building a good life.
New Horizons currently has facilities to serve up to 20 boys and 6-8 girls at two locations. Our boy’s campus is located in Ronan, Montana on 80 acres and our girl’s campus is in Rexford, Montana on 10 acres. Both facilities provide a home environment with multiple bedrooms and bathrooms, kitchen, dining, living and recreation/class rooms. There is plenty of outdoor space for recreation, being close to lakes for swimming, fishing and occasional boating; hiking, biking and horseback riding; and of course winter time play in the snow.
We provide education through the Lighthouse Christian Academy (a fully accredited school) with the use of independent study courses. All credits received are transferable back to the student’s local school or college of choice. The school setting here on the ranch is smaller and more functional for our youth allowing for adjustments and modifications to meet each individuals needs. This curriculum allows those students that have failed and/or fallen behind to “catch-up”, in learning and credits, because it is a self-paced program and each student works at their own pace.
We have on-campus staff at both locations 24/7/365 providing multiple mentors for all the youth constantly. We have off-campus associations for church, medication, medical, dental, vision and counseling needs.
New Horizons Youth Ranch is private non-profit organization founded in 1999 and is licensed by the State of Montana Board of Private Alternative Adolescent Residential or Outdoor Programs, and is also under the affiliation of Youth With a Mission – Tribal Waves.
